Where are classes/camps held?

Classes are held at Fort Wayne Youtheatre, located at 2426 Lake Avenue. Please enter through Door 1, located under the awning at the front of the complex.

Camps are held at various locations. See camp registration for details.

Does my child need to have previous theatre experience?

No! Classes/Camps are open to students of all levels and experience. We encourage everyone to enroll.

How do I register for a class/camp?

All registration is online. Immediately upon completing your registration, you should receive a confirmation email. If you do not, please follow up with our Education Coordinator, [email protected]

How do I get the multi class discount?

Youtheatre offers 10% off enrollment in 2 classes and 15% off enrollment in 3+ classes for our Fall and Spring Semesters (Saturday group classes only). Please be sure you click Enroll in 2+ Classes to take advantage of these discounts!
Use the instructions below to register for two or more classes in a single transaction.
  1. Choose a Multi Class Bundle based on how many total classes you want to register for (2 classes or 3+ classes).
    • You can use the bundle if one student is taking multiple classes or if siblings are taking classes.
    • Multi Class Bundles are for one household only.
  2. When selecting a bundle, enter “1” in the Quantity box.
    • One “Multi Class Bundle (2 classes) = 2 classes total
    • One “Multi Class Bundle (3 or more classes) = 3+ classes total
  3. After adding the bundle to your cart, choose your classes.
  4. The discount is already built into the bundle price. You will not see a separate discount line in your cart.
  5. During the checkout process, please ensure you are assigning the student information to the correct class. You will see “Questions for: Class Title” above each individual registration.

What is your payment/refund policy?

Full payment must be made at time of registration.

If a refund is requested, Fort Wayne Youtheatre has a non-refundable charge of $25. No refund will be processed if you cancel less than 1 week in advance.

Fort Wayne Youtheatre reserves the right to cancel classes with insufficient registration. In the event of such a cancellation, all of your fees will be refunded.

Do you offer financial aid?

Yes! Please visit our Financial Aid webpage for application information and deadlines to submit.

Can we bump my child up or down a grade level?

No. Students learn better, enjoy themselves more and are more free to be creative with those their own age/grade.

What if my child needs to miss a class?

Theatre is a collaborate art, and each student’s presence matters — we ask that absences be kept to a minimum.

However, we know families have other commitments and life happens — simply let us know ahead of time if you’ll be missing class.

How will we know if class is cancelled due to weather?

If our Indiana weather results in class cancellations, notice will be posted on our Facebook/Instagram. Our automated voice message will also be updated, so you can call the office at 260-422-6900. Please check before heading out on the road and stay safe!

Will there be an end of Class/Camp performance?

Yes! The final day of our Academy of Performing Arts programs feature a final demonstration or performance, depending upon the program.

Details will be sent via email at least 1 week prior to the event.
