Every child deserves a chance to shine! Youtheatre’s Everyone Plays a Part program ensures that every registered participant has a role in a musical or theatrical production. This program creates a supportive, welcoming space where all children can explore their creativity, build confidence, and experience the joy of performing—especially those who may have felt left out in traditional audition settings.
How it works:
Weekly sessions provide rehearsal time, skill-building, and fun.
The program culminates in a fully staged performance, giving every child the chance to be a star.
Everyone Plays a Part is designed to complement other Academy offerings.
The best part? Families report a noticeable, positive impact on their student’s confidence, public speaking ability, teamwork, and self-expression after participating in this Everyone Plays a Part!

Join Alex the Lion, Marty the Zebra, Melman the Giraffe, Gloria the hip-hop Hippo and, of course, those hilarious, plotting penguins as they bound onto the stage in the musical adventure of a lifetime. Based on the smash DreamWorks animated motion picture, Madagascar – A Musical Adventure KIDS follows all of your favorite crack-a-lackin’ friends as they escape from their home in New York’s Central Park Zoo and find themselves on an unexpected journey to the madcap world of King Julien’s Madagascar.
This program meets twice per week on Tuesdays & Saturdays from September 15th – October 24th.
Due to the nature of this program, no more than two absences may be accommodated — while having no absences is strongly preferred. Building a production is a team effort — and every member of the team being present is essential! **Absolutely no absences are allowed on October 17th, 20th, or 24th.**
Performances will take place at Allen County Public Library – Main on Saturday, October 24th. Tickets will be available in September 2026.
FALL 2025 – Get your sweet tooth ready – 39 young performers from Youtheatre’s Everyone Plays a Part program are serving up Roald Dahl’s Willy Wonka KIDS on the Carroll High School stage! In this 45-minute musical treat, the curious candy maker Willy Wonka launches a golden ticket contest, promising lucky winners a tour of his fantastical factory and a lifetime of candy. But not every kid can handle the sugar rush – four bratty winners quickly find themselves in sticky situations when they ignore Mr. Wonka’s rules. Only kindhearted Charlie Bucket and his grandpa prove that goodness, imagination, and a little bit of sparkle are the real golden ticket.
